The core difference.
The difference starts with where your speech goes. Wispr Flow sends it to the vendor's servers for processing. That is what the subscription pays for. With Diktat, recognition runs on the iPhone, iPad or Mac. There is no account, no server, and therefore no reason for a subscription.
The second difference is what happens to your words. Wispr Flow formats and smooths the text with AI — for many people that is the reason to buy it. Diktat deliberately does not. Punctuation and capitalization come from the recognition. No language model runs over your text afterwards. You get what you said.
